I am a writer and editor, located in South Australia. I worked professionally for a number of years as a technical writer/editor, first in Sydney and then in Adelaide. I later moved into the online world of writing non-fiction articles on a wide range of topics to earn a few bob while I studied for my second degree: a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Composition with Griffith University.
Now I’ve finished the BA, and I’ve almost finished a Graduate Certificate in Literary Composition, so I can focus again on fiction. I will continue to do editing work, because I enjoy it and it brings a flow of income to keep me from starvation.
I have had a few things published along the way, including short stories, poetry, a poetry book, and a children’s book. I’ve also had a few theatrical pieces performed both in Sydney and in South Australia.
Apart from writing and editing, I enjoy being involved in the theatre, either acting, directing, or doing one of the many jobs both backstage and in the front of house. I’m involved with both the Noarlunga Theatre Company and Opus, and have appeared in plays with several other companies.
Some people know me as Linda, but when I started getting published I found there was already a published writer called Linda Edwards, so I called myself Lin. I like it.
